Police in Connecticut are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to track down a suspect who allegedly broke into a car outside a Milford business park.

The Milford Police Department released a surveillance photo of a man who allegedly broke into a car in the parking lot of Boston Post Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 27.

Police said that the suspect broke through the driver’s side rearview window and stole a purse that had credit cards, jewelry and photography equipment. Investigators described the suspect as an African American with short black hair, a thin build, who was between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10. At the time of the break-in, he was wearing several layers of clothing.
